Ingredients
Bread
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2¼ tsp instant yeast (1 packet)
- ¼ cup sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup warm milk or warm water (about 110°F / 43°C)
- 3 tbsp oil or melted butter
- 1 large egg (optional, for richness)
Cinnamon Swirl
- ⅓ cup brown sugar
- 1½ tbsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tbsp flour (helps prevent gaps)
Instructions
- Activate yeast
Mix warm liquid and sugar, stir in yeast, and let foam (5 minutes). - Make dough
Add flour, salt, oil, and egg (if using). Mix until soft dough forms. - Knead
Knead 8–10 minutes by hand or 5 minutes with a mixer until smooth. - First rise
Place in a greased bowl, cover, and rise 1 hour or until doubled. - Shape & swirl
- Roll dough into a rectangle.
- Mix cinnamon swirl ingredients and sprinkle evenly over dough.
- Roll tightly into a log and pinch seam closed.
- Second rise
Place in greased 9×5 loaf pan. Cover and rise 30–45 minutes. - Bake
Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 35–40 minutes, tenting with foil if browning too fast. - Cool completely
Let cool before slicing to keep the swirl intact.

- Brush with butter or oil after baking for a soft crust
